Sensors Hardware KIT
The Hardware KIT includes the following sensors:
2 x Potentiometer
1 x Light Sensor (Photoresistor)
1 x Distance Sensor
1 x Force Sensor
1 x Flex Sensor
1 x Piezo Sensor
1 x Electret Microphone
To get an idea how to use the actuators have a look on the “Tutorials” Section.
Potentiometer

A potentiometer is a simple knob which changes its resistance when turning. It’s a very useful sensor if you want to get exact values between 0 and 1023.
Light Sensor (Photoresistor)

Distance Sensor (Sharp GP2Y0A21YK)

Infrared proximity sensor made by Sharp.
Force Sensor

Force Sensing Resistors (FSR) are a polymer thick film (PTF) device which exhibits a decrease in resistance with an increase in the force applied to the active surface. Its force sensitivity is optimized for use in human touch control of electronic devices. For more information about these Force Sensing Resistors read the FSR Guide PDF provided by http://www.tinkersoup.de.
Flex Sensor

As the sensor is flexed, the resistance across the sensor increases.

Piezo Sensor

A very interesting sensor that has varity of possible applications (e.g. knock sensor, vibration sensor etc.).
Electret Microphone

Simple microphone that can be used measure accustic events.
